Know Jesus

Begin a relationship with Jesus

What this step is:
Knowing Jesus is the foundation of every other step. It is more than knowing about God, attending church, or trying to become a better person. It means placing your faith in Jesus, receiving His forgiveness, and beginning a new life with Him.

Why it matters:
Everything begins with a relationship with Jesus. Before baptism, serving, giving, connecting, or reaching others, the most important step is personally trusting Him as Savior and Lord.

Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again so that we could be forgiven, restored to God, and made new.
Romans 10:9-10
9 If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation.

Once you have decided to follow Jesus, your next step is to go public through baptism.

Go Public

Be water baptised

What this step is:
Baptism is a public declaration that you belong to Jesus. It is an outward expression of the inward change Jesus has made in your life.

Going under the water represents dying to your old life, and coming out of the water represents the new life you have in Christ. Baptism does not save you — Jesus saves you. Baptism shows others that you have decided to follow Him.

Why it matters:
Baptism is one of the first steps of obedience after placing your faith in Jesus. It gives you an opportunity to publicly identify with Him and celebrate what He has done in your life.

It also encourages the church family by reminding us that Jesus is still saving, changing, and making people new.
Romans 6:4
4 Therefore we were buried with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too may walk in newness of life.

After going public with your faith, begin building daily rhythms that help you grow.

Grow Daily

Deepen your relationship with Jesus

What this step is:
Growing daily means building your life around Jesus through worship, prayer, God’s Word, and consistent church attendance. Spiritual growth is not about earning God’s love. It is about staying close to Jesus and allowing the Holy Spirit to shape your life.

This step helps you develop practical rhythms that strengthen your faith one day at a time.

Why it matters:
A healthy relationship with Jesus grows through consistency. When you make room for God’s Word, prayer, worship, and the church community, you become more aware of His voice, His presence, and His direction.

You do not need a perfect routine. You need a faithful next step.
John 15:5
5 I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without me.

Serve Others

Use your gifts to make a difference

What this step is:
Serving is using what God has placed in you to bless others. God has uniquely gifted you to impact your church and your community. Whether you enjoy welcoming guests, investing in the next generation, working behind the scenes, praying with people, or serving through outreach, there is a place for you to make a difference.

Serving is more than filling a role. It is following the example of Jesus.

Why it matters:
Saved people serve people. When you serve, you help create opportunities for others to experience a relationship with Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Serving also helps you grow. It connects you with others, strengthens your faith, and allows you to become part of what God is doing through the church.
1 Peter 4:10
10 Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve others, as good stewards of the varied grace of God.

Serving is one way we honor God with our lives. Generosity helps us honor Him with what He has entrusted to us.

Give Generously

Honor God with what He has entrusted to you

What this step is:
Generosity is a response to the generosity of God. When we give, we worship Him, grow in trust, and help fuel the mission of the church.

Giving is not a fee for ministry, a way to earn God’s favor, or something done out of pressure. It is a willing, prayerful act of worship that helps us put God first.

Why it matters:
Generosity shapes our hearts. It reminds us that our security is not found in what we possess, but in the God who provides.

When you give through Turning Point, you help create opportunities for others to experience a relationship with Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit through weekend ministry, TP Kids, Refuge YTH, Groups, Outreach, care, and discipleship.
2 Corinthians 9:7
7 Each person should do as he has decided in his heart—not reluctantly or out of compulsion, since God loves a cheerful giver.

As we grow in generosity, we also grow in relationship. The next step is to connect in community.

Find Your People

Connect with other believers

What this step is:
Following Jesus is personal, but it was never meant to be private. Connecting means moving from attending in a crowd to being known in community.

Groups create space to build relationships, discuss Scripture, pray for one another, ask honest questions, and walk through life together.

Why it matters:
You were not meant to do life alone. Spiritual growth happens best in relationship with other believers who can encourage you, challenge you, pray with you, and help you keep following Jesus.

You do not have to know everyone to belong. You simply need a place where you can be known.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up as you are already doing.
Healthy community does not turn inward. As we experience Jesus, we help others experience Him too.

Reach One More

Help someone else experience Jesus

What this step is:
Reaching one more means living on mission so others can experience a relationship with Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit. God wants to use you to help reach people far from Him.

You do not have to reach everyone. Start with one person. Be kind, share your story, invite people to church, serve your community, and be open to mission opportunities.

Why it matters:
Jesus sends His followers to make disciples. Reaching one more is how we live out that mission in everyday life — with family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, classmates, and people we meet along the way.

You do not have to have perfect words. Just tell people what Jesus has done for you and trust the Holy Spirit to work through your obedience.

The pathway does not end here. As you reach one more, keep walking the steps and helping others take theirs.
